Established in 1998, Syscom Building Management Ltd creates tailored and custom-made solutions in the engineering, software, commissioning and maintenance of Building Energy Management Systems (BMS, BEMS).
History
Soon after its incorporation in Teddington, London, Syscom became the main UK installer and service partner for American AutoMatrix. This started a trend and over the next few years the company became an Automated Logic Partner, Trend Systems Integrator and IBM Approved Supplier to name just a few. In 2003 it gained Safe Contractor Accreditation and later became an NICEIC Approved Electrical Installer. Further partnerships and accreditations have followed and in October 2018 Syscom celebrated its 20th anniversary.

LEE RUSSELL
Managing Director
Lee joined Syscom in 2005 and has been Managing Director since 2014. He has 30+ years experience in the BMS Controls industry, starting his career with Landis & Gyr in 1990 and with a short stint at Trend/Honeywell prior to joining Syscom. With a wealth of industry knowledge, commercial skills & experience, Lee is passionate about Syscom delivering a first class service for our projects, maintenance and energy solutions. “I am extremely proud to be a part of Syscom seeing us steadily grow within the market place becoming an established and well-respected organisation within the BMS Controls industry.”
CHRIS WELCH
Operations Director
Chris has been an integral part of Syscom since 2006 when he joined as Operations Manager, and later ascended to the role of Director in 2011. With a career spanning many years, Chris initiated his journey as an apprentice at Landis & Gyr and subsequently dedicated 23 years to Siemens. His extensive experience includes notable contributions such as serving as the Design Manager for the MOD Whitehall project, a substantial £9 million undertaking. Furthermore, Chris has excelled in project management, overseeing jobs ranging from £900,000 to £4 million. Expressing his passion for the BMS Controls industry, he shares, “I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of the Syscom team as it has grown and developed over the years.”
JOHN MOONEY
Commercial Director
John joined Syscom in July 2007 as the Group Commercial Manager and has held the position of Commercial Director since July 2015. With over 45 years of experience in the BMS Controls industry, he commenced his career with Johnson Controls in 1974, subsequently holding various roles within Satchwell, Staefa, and Siemens before joining Syscom. John possesses a wealth of industry knowledge and experience, having occupied nearly every conceivable position within the BMS industry throughout his career. His passion for Syscom, our standing within the BMS industry, and our esteemed client base is evident. John’s drive and determination ensure that Syscom consistently delivers a first-class service with heightened customer satisfaction. Reflecting on his tenure, he expresses, “I have been proud to be a part of Syscom as it has evolved into a successful organisation and employer within the BMS Controls industry.”
